6301479145_abec0b67cd_zSeptember has been a tougher month than I was expecting for sure, with a car repair, a new computer, a new internet router, and new workout shoes. Luckily, I still managed to pay off my furniture loan and avoid the 0% interest trap at the end of the promo period. I did have to dip into my EF for the car repair, but I’m hoping to get it back up to the $725 it was at prior to the car repair by depositing most of my October online income into it.

I have a few fun things planned for October, including a trip to visit my BFF for her birthday and attending a college football game while I’m there. I got free tickets in a drawing at work and it just happened to be for the weekend I was planning on going down there anyway! Because I have this fun weekend planned, I did change my budget around a little bit, but don’t worry these inflated spending figures won’t last long, it’ll be back to the grinding stone (or however that saying goes) come November.

Here’s my budget planΒ for October:

CategoryMonthly Total
DIFFERENCE-$1.53
Charity$10.00
EF$20.00
Morgage$852.28
House Repairs$15.00
City Bill$110.00
Gas$15.56
Cable$78.19
Internet$51.87
Phone$102.76
Food$120.00
Medical$20.00
Car Fuel$100.00
Car Repairs$15.00
Car Insurance$96.26
Clothes and Hair$35.00
Pets$35.00
Household$20.00
Personal$50.00
Crossfit$80.00
Cleaning$90.00
Debt$513.07
TOTAL$2,429.99
INCOME$2,428.46

Like I said, I raised some of my spending categories, like gas and personal money, to account for my trip to see my BFF. There’s also a new category, medical, in which I’ll be putting $20/month to cover my RX, allergy medicines, and any doctors appointments I might have periodically. Prior to creating this category, I was paying for my RX out of my grocery budget, which wasn’t exactly accurate since I said that budget was for “food only!”

I’m looking forward to this fun month, but also to November when I’ll hopefully get CC#4 paid off for good!

Do you have any plans for October?
